The Pipeline Operations & Management Middle East (POMME) to be held from April 11 to 14, will bring together experts to discuss some of the latest technologies and concepts for maintaining oil and gas pipelines in the most efficient manner

Following the success of their first two events, Tiratsoo Technical (a division of Great Southern Press) and Clarion Technical Conferences have announced that the third international conference and exhibition on Pipeline Operations & Management Middle East (POMME) will take place in April 2016, with the support of Saudi Aramco, and in association with Global Webb Energy Consultants.

To be held at the Gulf Convention Centre in Manama, Bahrain, from April 11 to 14, the event will be held under the patronage of Dr Abdul Hussain bin Ali Mirza, Minister of Energy, Kingdom of Bahrain.

This major multi-track conference will bring together experts from within and outside the region to discuss some of the latest technologies and concepts for maintaining and operating oil and gas pipelines in the most efficient, cost-effective, and professional manner, while taking account of the environmental and other concerns of the communities through which they pass.

The three-and-a-half day conference will begin on April 11 with five topical workshops. A plenary session will formally open the main technical sessions on April 12.

The simultaneous tracks for the technical programme of the event will include: Planning, design, construction, and materials; operations and maintenance best practices, repair, and rehabilitation; asset integrity management, inspection, and cathodic protection; and automation and control, leak detection.

Advisory committees have been established under the chairmanship of John Tiratsoo of Tiratsoo Technical to develop the programme and to ensure the highest quality of presentations, and offers of papers are now being solicited.

The multi-track exhibition programme will be accompanied by a major exhibition reflecting the widest interests of the pipeline industry.
