UAE energy strategy to save $190bn

DUBAI: The UAE’s new energy strategy is set to save up to Dh700 billion ($190 billion) by 2050, said a senior government official.

Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy made the statements in an inaugural word published as part of the ministry’s Energy 2017 Report on the best practices of the UAE and all energy-related agencies, reported WAM, the Emirates official news agency.

 

 

Saudi oil exports fall to 7 mbpd

DUBAI: Saudi Arabia’s oil exports fell by 226,000 barrels per day (bpd) in April month-on-month, and the kingdom drew on its inventories despite steady crude production, official data showed.

Opec’s biggest producer exported 7.006 mbpd in April, down from 7.232 mbpd in March, according to data from the Joint Organizations Data Initiative (Jodi). It pumped 9.946 mbpd in April, up from 9.90 mbpd in March.

 

 

Adnoc opens new fuel facility

ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has opened a key aviation fuel facility at Abu Dhabi International Airport built at a total investment of Dh750 million ($204.19 million), said a report.

The North Depot will provide up to 6.5 million litres of fuel per hour through a battery of 24 pumps controlled by a basic process control system with sophisticated gauging mechanisms to monitor the level of fuel in the depot’s tanks. As a result, the facility will be capable of fuelling more than 100 aircraft simultaneously, reported state news agency Wam.

 

 

BGS in deal for fuel supply services

OSLO: BGS, an international provider of ground handling and aircraft fuelling services, has renewed fuel service provision for Norwegian aircraft at two Lithuanian and two Polish airports, adding one more – Kaunas airport – to the deal. Norwegian and BGS partnership spans over four years since 2013 and recently, parties have extended the fuel supply partnership at Krakow, Warsaw, Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports.
