An impression of ADOS’s ICAD facility

A wide range of oil and gas related products will be manufactured at the new facility including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, marine navigational products, underground fuel storage tanks, and drilling tools

Abu dhabi Oilfield Services Company (ADOS) celebrated its 45th anniversary by announcing ambitious expansion plans across the UAE.

In addition to its recently inaugurated service centre in the petrochemicals hub of Ruwais, ADOS has invested in a state-of-the-art Manufacturing & Service Centre in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD) and new headquarters for MEOS, its Dubai subsidiary.

The ADOS ICAD Manufacturing & Service Centre will be operational by the third quarter of 2018 and will serve as its flagship location in the capital of the UAE, says a company spokesman.

A wide range of oil and gas related products will be manufactured at the new facility including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, marine navigational products, underground fuel storage tanks, and drilling tools. The services offered will include valve repair, rotating equipment maintenance, joint-integrity assurance and OCTG services, he says.

The centre will also serve as the new home to ADOS subsidiaries Klinger Middle East and WellSlot. Klinger Middle East’s gasket manufacturing operations from the facility will be significantly expanded to serve the region’s growing demand. In addition to tubular slotting and perforating services, WellSlot will offer complete well completion solutions ranging from sand control screens to inflow control devices and swellable packers, he says.

Complementing ADOS’ six locations across the UAE, the new centre will allow ADOS to be closer to its customers, with an ideal technical and geographical setup for just-in-time manufacturing capabilities. This will allow for an improvement in lead times and an opportunity for optimisation in customer’s inventory levels, he adds.

Outside of Abu Dhabi, ADOS has announced that the head offices of its Dubai subsidiary, MEOS, will be relocating to purpose-built offices in Dubai Marina by December 2017. The Dubai Marina location will continue to serve the Dubai and Northern Emirates customers, as well as support the ADOS subsidiaries in Jebel Ali: MEOS Workshop Services and Safe Sea Services.

Founded in 1972, ADOS is a technology and services provider to the energy industry, headquartered in Abu Dhabi with operations across the Middle East & North Africa.
