Background

Zuluf Field, a super-giant oil field located in the Arabian Gulf, approximately 40 km offshore the north-east coast of Saudi Arabia, is undergoing expansion to increase its production capacity. The expansion project will increase the field's production capacity from 800,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Arabian medium crude oil to 1.4 million barrels per day (Mbpd) of heavy crude oil. The Offshore Package 2 is also categorised as CRPO 80.


Project Status

As of March 2024, Gulf Heavy Industries Company has delivered slop tanks to the project. Additionally, on February 2024 Gulf Heavy Industries Company has been awarded a contract to manufacture and supply slop tanks for Offshore Package 2.


Project Scope

The offshore project scope, which is also known as CRPO 80, involves nine water injection production deck modules (PDMs), two water injection tie-in platforms and jackets, six subsea valve skids, six umbilical pipelines, seven flexible pipelines, and three rigid pipelines.

Also it includes two associated 15-kilovolt cables and UHF base station modification works at the Zuluf field development’s second gas oil separation plant (GOSP 2).
